As a highly successful business and training consultant, Kate Dodson has been working with businesses in the SME sector providing finance and banking services for nearly 20 years.

Following her years working within the invoice finance arena, Kate moved to specialise in working with businesses facing financial distress in 2001 where she gained extensive experience in helping customers to establish their goals and developing innovative strategies to achieve them.

Professionally qualified, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and holder of the Factors and Discounters Association Diploma, Kate also holds the Savill & Holdsworth levels 1, 2 and 3 in recruitment.

With the overall philosophy of working to help others achieve their business and professional goals, Kate set up Shire Business Synergy in 2005. Since that time, she has worked with a number of blue chips and SMEs, including Barclays, Bosch Car Service, Bank of Ireland, ABN Amro, Group Auto Union, Women in Banking and Finance and Women in Rural Enterprise, successfully providing focused business support in terms of consultancy, interim management, recruitment and bespoke training and coaching services.

Shire Business Synergy is also part of the MP Group, a collaborative partnership of highly skilled professionals working together to help companies with all aspects of business, allowing extra people with specific experience to be brought in to work on particular projects when required. Professional Indemnity insurance is held.
